The design for this classic rose print is taken from a wonderful faded old curtain valance discovered in La Petite Cabane, south-west France. It’s date is presumed to be mid-nineteenth century or after. The original is beautifully drawn and printed in blue on a cotton twill ground. We have scaled up the design but retained the look of a complex monotone print in its transfer onto our fine yet robust pure linen.
